4,000 eBooks Added to ScienceDirect.

Abstract

The article reports that ScienceDirect has began offering more than 4,000 electronic books in September 2007. The selected titles represent 18 subject areas, predominantly in the scientific, technical and medical (STM) disciplines. The eBooks on ScienceDirect program make nearly all of Elsevier's Science and Technology academic publication catalog fully searchable. The books are linked with other book series, handbooks, and reference works already on the ScienceDirect platform, as well as with full-text journal articles.
