Abstract

Interaction of electromagnetic radiation with a system of two parallel finite size conducting plates, consisting an open resonator, is examined, by employing an integral equation technique in terms of the conductivity currents induced on the resonator surface in conjunction with an entire domain Galerkin technique, with Chebyshev type basis functions. Numerical results are computed for several resonator sizes and operation frequencies and the resonance properties of the examined structure are determined.
