Abstract

Adsorption of Heavy metals from aqueous solutions by industrial waste sludge was investigated. The effect of time and initial concentration solution pH, were studied in batch kinetic experiments. The initial uptake was rapid and equilibrium was achieved within180 minutes. The data relating to percentage of adsorption at different pH values were fitted into the surface complex model and the overall goodness of fit is better with monodentate complex formation. ©2010 IEEE.
