Abstract

The result of the assessment of energy auditing of 100 public buildings made it possible to develop a new method which can function as a decision tool for retrofitting similar facilities. This article deals with the reduction of transmission heat losses because of the high investments of the building constructions. Building Information Modelling system plays a central role in the developed method. It is important to invest cost-effectively which can be measured by the payback of the investment. The order of the retrofitting was calculated with the help of Life Cycle Cost Analysis. © Periodica Polytechnica 2010.
