Abstract

Based on existing researches about interaction analysis, this paper designs an interaction analysis coding system to study the level of knowledge construction in web-based interaction. Methods of content analysis and social network analysis are used to analyze the interaction content of a web class on Moodle, which provides a web-based learning platform for a national level excellent course named "Modern Educational Technology". The results reveal that the level of knowledge construction is rather low in the process of interaction among learners in web environment, and provide suggestions to promote interaction in web-based learning. ©2010 IEEE.
