A complete shape recognition system using the Hough transform and neural network

Abstract

A Hough transform based neural network shape recognition system has been developed. We propose a new technique for 2-D shape recognition based on the peak and envelope vectors extracted from the Hough space. The vectors are fed into a neural network which performs both the learning and recognition tasks.
