Abstract

Presents a systematic description of the conchostracan fauna from classic localities of Mendoza and San Juan provinces. They were collected in Cacheuta, Potrerillos and Santa Clara Formations in Mendoza, and from Cortaderita and El Alcazar Formations in San Juan. Cyzicus (Euestheria) forbesi, C. (E.) mangaliensis, C. (Lioestheria) striolatissima and C. cf. (E.) forbesi are found in early Upper Triassic strata, while C. (E.) minuta, C. cf. C. minuta, Cyzicus sp. 1 and Cycicus sp. 2, are uppermost Middle Triassic. C. (E.) minuta is mentioned for the first time in Argentina. Comprehensive biostatistic data are provided for most species to characterize the different population limits. -English summary
