Abstract

In order to complete the communication between PC and Single-chip microcomputer, people use different ways to achieve data exchange. For example, people use assembly language or C language under the DOS operating system. But there still exist many difficulties and shortcomings under the Windows environment to make communication come true. As windows operating system has already taken a dominant position, it becomes vital to achieve the data communication between PC and Single-chip microcomputer. This article describes a hardware circuit to achieve their communication. The designed circuit consists of upper PC (or IPC) and down SCM system. The whole circuit system is controlled by upper PC(or IPC).The down SCM acquires data and achieves A / D conversion, and then it connects with the upper PC through the RS485 and RS232 serial interface. In this way, the circuit forms a complete remote data collection and real-time control system. Practical operations demonstrate that the system can be performed stably and orderly, with a high efficiency. It solves many difficulties of the communication between PC and Single-chip microcomputer. © 2009 IEEE.
