Abstract
Some of the theoretical considerations behind the design of the Californian harvester [see H.A., 29: 150 and 30: 259] are set forth. The forward rubber roller which assists both pick-up and elevation now has rubber fingers. The machine, originally designed for prunes, will also deal with walnuts and figs. With flat varieties of almond the smooth pick-up roller is replaced by a small brush.
