Abstract
In this study an experimental characterization of NiTi wires has been performed by calorimetric and electrical measurements. The evaluation of transition temperatures has been conducted by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analysis and electrical resistivity measurements. The latter method has been demonstrated to be a very useful technique for the identification of transition phases that are not detectable from calorimetric analysis. Moreover, calorimetric and electrical method have been used in order to quantify converted fractions of Martensite and R-phases as a function of temperature. © 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
