Abstract

A basic chapter by Earl Babbie on the ethical issues around Social Research. Babbie describes how ethical considerations should play a role in Social Research and raises awareness for the topic. He also gives a number of examples of how social scientists can become involved (and involuntarily instrumentalized?) in political processes.
