Abstract

Incentives may affect users' behavior. It is critical to study how users' perception and intention are affected by the incentives. This study presents an extended technology acceptance model (TAM) that integrates incentives into TAM to investigate what determines user mobile commerce acceptance. We apply this model to the case of a GPS-based taxi-dispatching system. Preliminary data analysis illustrates that TAM model is fit for mobile technology adoption, and incentives have significant impact on users' behavior. © 2008 IEEE.
