Abstract

We address the issue of data integration over semantically-heterogeneous data sources using an ontology-based integration mechanism. The semiautomatic techniques that we explore are directed to helping experts establish mappings between ontologies using a combination of manual methods, which are needed for the accuracy of the mappings, and automatic methods, which facilitate the experts' tasks.
