Abstract

The role of microscopy in the examination of fibres in forensic context is considered including how microscopic examination can contribute to the triage and more detailed examination of fibres as part of an overall analytical protocol. The appropriate use of specialist forms of microscopy are considered including the central role use of comparison microscopy.
