Abstract

This report describes the Hydrologic Engineering Center's experience with land use classification from LANDSAT multispectral imagery. Land use is required for the estimation of hydrologic model parameters. The land use classification procedure used, developed at the University of California, Davis, for the Corps of Engineers, is an unsupervised, noninteractive approach requiring no special image processing equipment.-from US Govt Reports Announcements, 10, 1982
