Abstract

The article reports on the findings of a study on the sustainability of service-learning at each school and the influence of long-term institutional participation in service-learning. The study was established with service-learning leaders at schools that were part of the Health Professions Schools in Service to the Nation (HPSISN) program. The program was implemented in 17 health profession schools in the U.S. The HPSISN grantees represented a broad range of the characteristics of health professions at academic institutions in the country.
