Implementation Embedded Transparent Proxy on Flash Memory

Abstract

Network World still in efflorescenting. So many devices and aplication was needed to deploy network and optimize network function. Such as bridge or switchs, router and proxy serve. But , unfortunately , the function from this devices still separate and it will need loot of physical space to store this devices.Just like we know, bridge have function to forward data from one point to other port. Proxy itself have fucntion to cache web page, filtering or firewall and Connection Sharing. Unfortunately, for general user, proxy still difficult to configure and optimize. And until this time, there are still no bridge who has been proxy function, so it will optimize performance from that bridge. The simply think, we trying to create OS which we trying to put or embedd into some bridge or switch and add proxy function.On this Final Project, writer had been create mini linux system which had tiny size and had been embedded into Compact Flash as Storage n the OS which have function such as bridge and proxy cache, and of course the system had been optimized. This system only a model to develop and implement to real switch
