Abstract

E-Learning systems (ELS) introduce significant advantages in the realization of adaptive and personalized on-line courses. In order to increase the efficiency of learning, e-learning system should provide much more friend interface, convenient interaction, abundant and interesting courses. The agent in telnet environment can provide the flexible works through a network and push the adequate learning contents according to the learner's request. This study proposed the system for pushing the learning contents using agents in E-learning, an e-Learning content organization scheme and a content push agent is adopted into a SCORM-based learning management system. Two Agents have designed: Learner Interface Agent (LIA) and Content Pushes Agent (CPA). Student may learn courses according to the teaching strategy or the content pushed by agent. Taking the course 'Java Programming' as an example, we design course detailed structure and content push approach as well. This educational system enriches the traditional learning system by providing the personality learning content for each learner to some extent. © 2008 IEEE.
