Abstract
Bioinformatics has been able to establish and bridge the gap between modern biology and other disciplines through computational means. With the vast amount of biological data on hand, its precise quantification and analysis are required. Complete and reliable annotation of database sequence information with accurate biological data has been made possible through the advent of bioinformatics. Through this field, errors in DNA and protein sequences can be understood more precisely. Predictive information can be derived to design experiments to quickly and reliably verify the biology behind the sequence. The main idea of bioinformatics is the integration of biology into the computational field by collecting the data in one place, where it is easily accessible to all users through online access by websites that organize data. Despite advancements in this field, there is still a need for effective tools to perform better annotation with high accuracy and improve the quality of sequenced genomes without gaps. Moreover, advanced bioinformatics tools need to be developed for the analysis of growing high-throughput metagenomics, proteomics, and metabolomics.
