Abstract

Key performance indicators (KPIs) are measures that help organizations determine how effectively they are achieving their objectives, which is a critical component of performance management. In the context of sport, KPIs are attached to several performance dimensions at the organizational level - including elite sport, sport participation, governance, funding, staff development, and social responsibility. Alternatively, performance indicators (PIs), or measures that relate to specific activities within an organization, are widely used within individual and team sport performance analysis to better align resources in the achievement of the organization's objectives.
