Abstract

The knowledge navigation module whose core component is Ontology library is always adopted in CSCL. Most of the current system utilizes the frame-based Ontology, however due to frame-based systems lack of precise semantics; users are hard to grasp the intend meaning of concepts. To solve this problem, the paper combines the advantage of frame approach and logic approach, and introduces the Description Logic based Ontology language CSONTO which used to generate the original Ontology library that afford precise semantic. We further proposed an algorithm to classify the terminology into XML based taxonomy, which fit for knowledge navigation module.
