Abstract

In this paper, we present an overview of statistical approaches available for detecting and estimating linear trends in environmental data. We evaluate seven methods of trend detection and make recommendations based on a simulation study. We also illustrate the methods using real data. © 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
