Literature of computerised library and information services: a bibliometric study

Abstract

Describes a bibliometric study in which the LISA database was analyzed to discover the growth of literature on computerized library and information services, subject wise growth, authorship trend, authors' publishing outlets, journal literature, its distribution and application of Bradford's Law. Most literature is to be found in the areas of computerized information storage and retrieval, cataloguing and information services. Financial management and classification are the evolving subjects and computerized citation indexes and printed catalogues seem to be declining. Original abstract-amended.
