Abstract
Today, distance learning has encountered several problems in education, such as a way to deliver education to distance places. On the other hand, the increasing demand for e-learning by worldwide users causes thee-learning system performance and response time degrades. Power linecommunication has high influence and is high speed medium that can beutilized as platform for web based applications such as e-Learning. Inaddition, because of distributed architecture of power line network, decomposition structure of e-learning system on a power line network, distributes load of requests on multiple servers and improves theirperformances. To achieve this idea, we designed a decomposition structureof e-learning system on power line network based on LMS and LCMSsubsystems. In this structure, Information Repository and Learning ObjectRepositories are on the Web and provide learner information and learningcontents, respectively. LMSs are on MV/MV (63kV/20kV) electrical powersubstations and provide non–learning content pages. LCMSs are on MV/LV(20kV/400V) electrical power substations and provide learning contentspages. All subsystems use web service and SOAP technologies to communicatewith each other. In this paper, the design and implementation of softwareand service architecture of LMS-LCMS decomposition architecture ofe-learning system on power line network has described.
