Abstract

The borosilicate luminescent glasses doped with Dy3+/Eu3+ and Ce3+/Dy3+/Eu3+ were prepared by high temperature melting synthesis method. The samples have white light emission under ultraviolet excitation. The emission spectrum and the CIE chromaticity coordinate analyses of the samples indicated that the emission intensity of Eu3+ at 612 nm increased first and then decreased with the increase of Eu2O3 content, and the luminescence intensity of the glass reached the maximum when the concentration of Eu2O3 was 0.15 mol%, and the color temperature was the lowest at this time. Ce3+ can not only sensitize the luminescence of Dy3+, but also promote the reduction of Eu3+ → Eu2+ and increased the fluorescence emission of the samples in blue light. The luminescence properties and the color temperature of the glasses can be adjusted by changing the excitation wavelength and the doping ions concentration.
