Abstract

The article focuses on how libraries should develop and manage data through semantic web architecture and linked data. The author first provides an overview of semantic web's linked data standards, including Hyper-Text Markup Language, Resource Description Framework and eXtensible HyperText Markup Language. He also urges technical services librarians to promote the benefits of semantic architecture on the distribution of information.
