Abstract

The article discusses the relevance of social networking along with the popularity of blogs and wikis as a trend in enterprise microblogging in California. It mentions the launched social networking site called the CalConnect by the Blue Cross of California, to support their 10-year strategic plan in building healthy safe communities. Moreover, there are three primary reasons for using microblogging such as to share of links and information, share status, and engage in questions and answers.
