Midterm Grades for Blackboard

Abstract

The author reports on Blackboard, a web-based virtual learning environment (VLE) which is used at colleges and universities. Benefits for faculty members which are offered by VLEs are discussed, such as assistance with grading and managing paperwork. The author discusses the way in which he uses Blackboard to organize materials related to some of the courses he teaches and to keep track of students' grades. Ways in which the author used Blackboard to facilitate discussions within some of his classes are mentioned.
