Abstract

Multisensor data fusion is a process of combining information from multiple sensors and/or data sources. It has been applied to a wide variety of fields such as robotics, industrial inspection, military surveillance, remote sensing, medical diagnosis, law enforcement and person identification. In this paper, the basic concept, advantage, general structure, method, applications and future research points of multisensor data fusion are presented.
