Abstract

In this paper a new approximate Karhunen-Loeve Transform (AKLT2) is presented. The second-order perturbation of the eigenvectors of the first-order Markov sequence has been used in order to derive the AKLT2. It is shown that the AKLT2 is more efficient than the DCT and the AKLT in energy compaction and signal decorrelation.
