Abstract
This paper was presented to introduce Changing the Change, an international conference on the role and potential of design research in the transition towards sustainability, held in Turin, Italy, 10-12 July 2008. At the end of the paper is an Appendix which presents the first draft of a 'Design Research Agenda for Sustainability', which was co-generated by participants during the conference. © 2008 Elsevier Ltd.
