Abstract

In the large-scale open environment such as Grid, Ubiquitous computing, P2P computing and Ad hoc networks, etc., system is a dynamic and cooperative model with multi-software services. Under the dynamic and uncertainty environment, traditional approaches to security are insufficient, so dynamic trust model becomes a new hot topic of security research for these new distributed applications. In this paper, a comprehensive and adaptive dynamic quantization trust model is proposed to overcome the shortage of traditional model only weighted by subjective manners. Firstly, we introduce the history function and feedback trust converging mechanism based on path function to improve the direct trust computing method. Then, we consider two new parameters, confidence factor and feedback factor, to adjust the weight of direct trust and feedback trust. Simulation's results show that, compared to the existing trust models, the new model has remarkable enhancements in the trust decision's accuracy and practicability. © 2008 Binary Information Press December 2008.
