Ontology-Based Approach for Application Integration

Abstract
This paper deals with the semantic problem in Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) and presents an ontology-based approach in order to overcome some issues of the integration problem. It is focused on Enterprise Application Systems (EAS) and proposes an approach that exploits both ontology mediation (mapping) and Web services, which is called ODSOI (Ontology-Driven Service-Oriented Integration).
