Abstract

We present an iris identification approach based on wavelet-packet binary coding. This latter is carried out by coding the 64 wavelet-packet energies to generate a compact signature (iris code), quantizing these energies into one bit according to an adapted threshold. Experimental results, using CASIA database, are presented demonstrating significant improvements in iris verification accuracy. ©2008 IEEE.
