Abstract

Lasing characteristics and population inversion mechanisms of the laser based on atomic transitions of xenon are analyzed in the most promising operation and pumping regimes. Experimental results are considered on the basis of the kinetic model. Theoretical calculations in the context of this model are given for the most interesting cases.
