Abstract

An area-efficient method is proposed to realize fully programmable SC filters through the use of time-sharing. Previously, fully programmable SC filters have been restricted to only second-order due to the large area requirement of the programmable capacitor arrays (PCAs). The proposed approach uses only 3 PCAs to implement an Nth order filter capable of having arbitrary transfer functions.
