Abstract

English abstract This presentation material is the second of an eleven-part package designed and used regularly for teaching research methodology, particularly to post-graduate students and research scholars of Library and Information Science. This part explains how to select a research problem, sources and criteria for selection of problem, how to bombard the problem before settling on it, certain dos & donts in form of tips to select research problem, how to go about and steps in formulating research problem. Finally, highlights that research is not a simple linear activity, but a complex process.
