Abstract

Globally distributed scientific teams, linked to the most powerful supercomputers, are running visual simulations of Einstein's equations on the gravitational effects of colliding black holes. This is made possible using new tools, to investigate gravity, giving birth to the field of numerical relativity. A collaborative computational framework is developed to allow remote monitoring and visualization of simulations.
