Abstract

New chiral ionic liquids have been synthesised which are directly derived from the ‘chiral pool’ and therefore readily available in kg scale; NMR-measurements indicate that these liquids may be interesting solvents for enantioselective reactions and useful in chiral separation techniques. © 2002 Royal Society of Chemistry.
