Abstract

Technophobia is an irrational fear of either technological influence ortechnological artifacts. Philosophical interest for technophobia isthreefold: epistemological, existential andphilosophical-anthropological. In the last five decades, computers havechanged in major many areas of human life, including philosophy. Theauthors have started rendering technophobical issues in philosophy withemergence of technophobical objections to each leap forward incommunication medium. Next area of analysis is speculative fiction.Determining the philosophical importance of speculative fiction, authorsoffered an overview of technophobical thesis in some of anthologicalworks.
