Abstract
The deliverable at hand is a joint deliverable resulting from merging the deliverables D3.5 on “Test tools that support integration and development of new services“ and D2.5 on “Testing and conformance recommendations“ as defined in the ROLE DoW. The original deadline for D3.5 was M36, the original deadline for D2.5 was M42. The joint deliverable D3.5/2.5 will be submitted in M36 with an update in M42. The title of the joint deliverable describes its content well: “Testing and conformance recommendations and tools that support integration and development of new services“. Its aim is to support the development of new ROLE services by providing means and recommendations for conformance testing, that is, inter-operability testing. Firstly, it describes the ROLE services with which new services and widgets have to be inter-operable. In other words, it describes what is to be tested. Secondly, it describes tools for testing interoperability with these services and means for testing the availability of ROLE-services. In other words, it describes how can be tested. And, thirdly, it gives recommendations on testing inter-operability. In other words, it describes how should be tested. In particular the last part will be extended and updated until M42, its original deadline.
