Abstract
A thin-layer, microtubular continuous-flow dialyzer is described. It has a dialyzing surface area of 430 cm.2 and a priming volume of only 3.5 ml. It is efficient, caused no observable loss or denaturation of protein, and may be used at room temperature. It is simple to operate, can be left unattended, and allows prolonged reuse of its membranes. Its efficiency could be improved by controlling flow rates of sample and distilled water, by use of multiple channels and larger dialyzers, and by employing several dialysis runs. © 1972.
