Abstract

Reviews the methodologies used for 3-D seismic imaging, introducing a spectrum of body wave and surface wave studies from local to global scale and highlighting examples of the kinds of applications in which seismic imaging has been successful. The advent of state of the art local and global digital seismic arrays promises to open the realm of seismic imaging to an ever-widening suite of geologic problems. -from Author
