Abstract
Semantic mappings between relational database and ontology are very useful in ontology-based relational data integration system. However, managing those semantic mappings is an arduous work in an open and dynamic environment. Aiming at facilitating the work of managing semantic mappings, a model named view graph is proposed in this paper. View graph retains the semantics discovered during the process of mapping construction, and these semantics may be reused in maintaining mappings. What's more, visualizing mappings based on view graph illustrates the semantics implicated in mappings, and this will help us understand those mappings. © 2009 IEEE.
