Abstract
ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the types of ethnobotany medicinal plants, in Pagar Ruyung Village, Kota Agung District, Lahat Regency, South Sumatra. This study uses a descriptive exploratory method. Information collection techniques that are participatory or participatory ethnobotanical appraisal (PEA), with a structured interview descriptive survey technique. The results of the study from the division of Spermatophyta, found 28 families, and 40 species, the parts of the plant used are leaves, stems, roots, rhizomes, tubers, fruits, seeds, skins, sap, the parts most often used by the community as traditional medicine are leaves as large as 48.1%. Most of the processing methods of medicinal plants still use traditional methods such as, eaten directly, grated, pasted, dripped, boiled and brewed. Processing that is often done by the community by boiling is 59.1%. How to use plant parts by drinking, eating, sticking and smearing, the most common use is by drinking 65.12%. Types of disease suffered by the community internal disease and mild/external disease. Internal disease has more types of disease by 64%
