Open Access offers the possibility of cost-free access to readers of electronic scientific journal articles. Scientific publishers are open to Open Access as long as it is based on an economically sustainable business model ensuring future investments. Today STM publishers are offering various forms of Open Access. However after ten years the acceptance of the various Open Access models in the market is still limited.
