Abstract

The World Intellectual Property Organization Arbitration and Mediation Center was established in 1994. It is an international resource dedicated to promote the resolution of international disputes between private parties, in particular between those of commercial nature, through Alternative Dispute Resolution options, especially through arbitration, mediation and expert determination procedures in order for the parties to reach an effective and fair solution to their conflicts. This paper analyzes the different services provided by the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center, detailing its regulation, procedure and finalization, as well as explaining the different variants of each procedure.
