Contemporary monolithic ceramics and “The digital dental team” Part 1

Abstract

Part 1 of this JPD Digital article describes the current evolution of esthetic monolithic ceramic materials highlighting their material and esthetic properties. It also clarifies the most appropriate clinical situations and restorative requirements of the various ceramic systems from glass-ceramic systems to solid sintered polycrystalline zirconia-based systems. Clinical and esthetic guidelines for using these ceramic systems will be covered in detail.
