Reports on the launch of a project that combines resident education and research by the Board of Directors of the Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors. Offer of an integrated approach to the prevention and treatment of diabetes; Ability for participants to learn about current standards of diabetes care, nutritional counseling, educational needs, and relevant referral resources; Significance of the project to assist family medicine.
