Abstract

The main aspects of clinic manifestations, epidemiological data and case treatment about human arboviruses transmissible by mosquitoes are treated in this article. Mosquito-borne viral diseases also called arboviruses (for arthropod-borne viruses), can be transmitted to humans and animals by infected mosquitoes. Only certain types of mosquitoes can carry viruses and very few are even infected. A mosquito first becomes infected by feeding on a host that has the virus. Normally, the virus is transmitted between birds and mosquitoes, but occasionally certain types of mosquitoes can bite a person or animal. Arboviruses occur all over the world, but main viruses existing are dengue, yellow fever, West Nile virus, eastern equine encephalitis, western equine encephalitis, St. Louis encephalitis and La Crosse;
